Shopify redesign and theme change
My redesigns start with the structure: which pages the store needs, which sections, in which order. Only once you have approved it do I build the new theme, as a preview, so your live store keeps selling in the meantime.
Who it is for
- Stores on an old or overloaded theme that should look clearer and more premium.
- Brands with a large range whose collection and product pages have become hard to navigate.
- Stores whose pages work worse on a phone than on a desktop.
What I take care of
- Structure first. A blueprint of every page and its sections, approved by you before anything is built.
- Theme change. A move to a new theme, for example from Expanse to Prestige or from Flex to Enterprise, with your content and products.
- The pages that sell. Home page, collections and product page rebuilt and tuned for phones.
- Fewer apps. What the new theme can do itself no longer needs a paid app.
- Data, not code. Product details from metafields, so your team edits them in Shopify instead of in code.
How it works
- 01Intro call. 30 minutes about your store, the theme and what bothers you today.
- 02Fixed-price quote. After the briefing you get a quote at a fixed price.
- 03Blueprint, then a preview build. The structure first, then the theme, unpublished. I work your feedback in short rounds.
- 04Go-live after your approval. The new theme goes live only once you have approved it. Then I stay on for fixes.
Questions
- Does my store keep running during the redesign?
- Yes. The new theme is built as an unpublished preview, and the live store stays as it is in the meantime. The switch happens only after your approval.
- Do I need a new theme, or is a rework enough?
- We settle that on the intro call. Tidying up the current theme is often enough; a change pays off when the old theme cannot cleanly show the pages you need.
- Do my products, customers and orders stay?
- Yes. A theme only changes how the store looks; products, customers and orders stay in Shopify where they are.
- What happens to my Google rankings?
- Product and collection URLs stay the same when the theme changes. Where pages change or go away, I set up redirects, at Pedchem based on Search Console.
