WooCommerce to Shopify migration
You want to be done with WordPress updates, plugin conflicts and hosting worries, without losing your Google rankings or your regular customers. I move your store to Shopify: the data, the design and every old link that has to keep working.
Who it is for
- WooCommerce stores tired of maintenance and plugins that want to focus on selling.
- Stores that are found through Google and cannot afford to lose traffic in the move.
- Brands that want a clean design system with the move instead of a copy of the old theme.
What I take care of
- Data. Products and customers by CSV import, order history, blog and pages through a migration app where needed, in the order Shopify recommends: products first, then customers, then orders.
- Redirect map. Collect every old URL while the old site is still up, and point each one to its matching new page.
- Theme. Built on a Shopify theme with your design, with type and buttons that follow fixed rules.
- Launch. Switch the domain, test the redirects, submit the sitemap in Search Console, legal pages, email signup.
- After go-live. Watch the 404 errors in Search Console and add any missing redirects.
How it works
- 01Intro call. 30 minutes about your store, goals and timeline.
- 02Fixed-price quote. After the briefing you get a quote at a fixed price.
- 03Built on a preview theme. Your old store keeps selling until everything is checked.
- 04Go-live after your approval. Then I check the redirects and Search Console.
Questions
- How long does a migration take?
- Depending on the size of the store, 2 to 4 weeks.
- Will I lose my Google rankings?
- Not if every old URL redirects to its matching new page. That is what the redirect map is for; after launch I check the 404 errors in Search Console.
- What happens to customer accounts?
- Passwords cannot be moved, because they are encrypted outside Shopify. Your customers get an invitation and set up their account again.
- Can I keep my design?
- Yes. I rebuild it on a Shopify theme and tidy up what has grown in the old store along the way.
